Hello all. With christmas looming I have decided to treat myself and went to a local retro store and purchased myself a Sega Megadrive, a N64, a SNES and a slimline PS2. For each console I also purchased some games. Sega Megadrive/genesis: Original sonic the hedgehog SNES: Zelda link to the past N64: Zelda Ocarina of Time Goldeneye Mario 64 PS2: GTA 3 (I have vice city and san andreas on PC) Original Jack and Daxter Ratchet and Clank Rayman. All of this came to £150 and so I now have another £100 or so to spend on more games as I am building a little retro gaming room. Any other games for these consoles you would recommend?

SNES:

Super Metroid (my favorite SNES game)

Goof Troops (a really fun game with a friend)

Donkey Kong Country 1-3

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars

Super Mario Bros 3

Yoshi's Island

Super Mario World

N64:

Zelda: Majora's Mask

Paper Mario

Perfect Dark 64 (though it has issues due to age, as does GOldeneye)

PS2:

Metal Gear Solid 1-3 (If you hate story and cutscenes, probably not for you)

Final Fantasy X

God of War 1 and 2

Timesplitters 1-3 (I have not played 1, it may suck compared to 2 and 3)

Resident Evil 4

SSX3

Need For Speed Underground 2

Tony Hawk's Underground

Soul Calibur 2 (I played it on GC with Link)

If you can find a decent NES you could add that. but work on getting some more games for SNES, Genesis, N64 and PS2. mybe a dreamcast Gamecube or Saturn if you can find them.

I went with cheap games so that you can probably get a couple for each system. SNES: Disney's Aladdin Spider-Man and Venom: Maximum Carnage Super Mario World Super Star Wars series X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse U.N. Squadron N64: Beetle Adventure Racing Blast Corps Rayman 64 San Francisco Rush Star Wars: Rogue Squadron PS2:(also including some PS1 games) Colony Wars series (PS1) Final Fantasy series (PS1 and PS2) Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 and 2 (PS1 and PS2) Maximo The Incredible Hulk: Maximum Destruction Ultimate Spider-Man Genesis: Arrow Flash Genesis 6-Pak Sonic the Hedgehog 2/3/Knuckels/Spinball Virtual Pinball Wiz n' Liz

Hey everyone thankyou for the help so far, i have looked at a number of videos on youtube and so far have purchased:

PS2:

Timesplitters 2

Final Fantasy 8 (used to love as a child)

Legacy of Kain (first one)

Destruction Derby 1 and 2 (30p each, bargain)

SNES:

Super Mario All stars

Super Mario world

N64:

Perfect Dark

Genesis:

Sonic 2 and 3

As you can see i have a fairly broad range of genres I enjoy.

I do not enjoy Beat-em-ups or racing games.

Also why is genesis version of Aladdin better than the snes version?

I prefer the SNES version myself. It's subjective since they're completely different games. Actually I'd recommend both.
