Is Splinter Cell Double Agent old gen worth picking up?

I played through Double Agent on PC and current gen consoles, and I think it is easily the worst Splinter Cell game ever made. However, I heard good things about the old gen version of the game. Is the story and levels better in the old gen version?

Yeah I played splinter cell 1 - DA a few months ago on the XBox and it was great and I could see why someone could find it better than Chaos Theory. I think the missions were generally set in the same places to the 360 version but they all played differently (I haven't played the 360 version since around 2006 so can't remember much about it). It also had the same characters but the story was good
