For anyone too lazy to read, it basically uses EA and Battlefield as an example of how our pre-order culture has caused the flood of games that launch unfinished and buggy.
We keep giving them money for games that aren't even out. Games that haven't been reviewed, or fully tested, or had the chance for word of mouth filter out bad games from your shopping list. And that this sends a clear message to publishers: "It's okay to ship now and fix [or finish] later."
The solution, he says in the article, is simple: Just wait until the game is finished and the major bugs have been fixed before buying. Because games nowadays are, backwards as it may be, getting finished AFTER launch. This is not ok.
