This. If you're parents feel you're mature and sensible enough to play M rated games then go for it. If you can't play GTA V, it's probably for a good reason.
A friend and I were both online the other day playing GTA5 and we both agreed that the game was a lot of fun but also agreed we'd never let our own kids play the game. The rating exists for a reason.
If you don't have an age-restricted Xbox Live or Playstation Network account, you can buy $60 worth of pre-paid cards and buy the game on Xbox Live or Playstation Network. This assumes that your parents do not monitor your gaming habits closely or watch you play video games. To the people in this thread, lighten up a bit, I'm sure all of you have played mature rated titles, watched R rated movies, or listened to mature music behind your parent's back at young ages and during your teen years.
To everyone replying to play games his age...if he has RDR he can play GTA 5. I played a lot of M rated games in my early teens and I didn't go on a killing spree...nobody did. Saints Row 3/4 is pretty fun, try some other genre or something.
Hit age 17 and go to the store. Problem solved. Shouldn't be playing it if you're not 17. Still boggles the mind that 10 year olds are playing COD. YoshiYogurt

HAHA he didnt whine. He said he couldnt play it and that he wanted some suggestions for games like it.
A lot of you people in here need to read what youre replying to.
you could try sweat equity help in the kitchen a couple days a week till you gain some leverage. if your parents bought you Red Dead Redemption you probably can persuade them over time. people tend to ignore morals if they gain something by doing so

Sure you could tell him to get other Rated R or M games, but in the end it's not suited for him if he isn't old enough
