every year since after call of duty 4 i see the new call of duty and look at it like as if i've never played the previous titles. besides cod4 (and black ops to a lesser extent) ive hated every call of duty and yet i still find myself buying every cod to date as i silently tell myself "this will be different than the last one" and/or hope this will be more like cod 4. every year i tell myself i wont be buying the next one, but every year i do. atleast with this years copy i got 43 bucks trading it in so im only out 20 dollars. i hope i have the mental fortitude to resist buying next years cod.

i cant pinpoint why i hate most cods but i do and i still buy em. anyone else suffer from a similar circumstance. buying games you know urll hate hoping itll be good?

Anyway...

If you wana know why you keep falling for COD then you're going to have do alil research on the game and yourself...

What is it about CoD, is it the Marketing ? The Community ? The Gameplay Mechanics ? The Setting and Aesthetics ?

Break The Gamedown piece by piece, find out how it works and you might find out why you keep buying it....

Nope, not me. I buy them every year because they're consistently great games which I enjoy playing very much.

@Archangel3371

Shockingly enough, that is the truth... The Series has maintained a consistent level of quality... Actually I think it been improving....

I wouldn't buy it though... Its just not for me.

If you really have a hard time with COD games just grab the hacks they have out for them. =)

@Jimmy_Russell

It doesn't just work for Advertising... Some games are built around behavoiral psychology, finding out how theyy work essentially shatters the illusion.

Don't feel so bad. I keep telling myself to wait for a price drop every time a new Assassin's Creed game comes out, but every time, I end up getting them right away.

@JustPlainLucas

To be fair they do create beautiful Cities. ;)

I don't think people appreciate just how much work goes into building an entirely different city once every two years... I don't like the Series myself but they do work hard.

You are not alone. The only CoD I haven't purchased since the first game is Ghosts and AW. I'm slowly building a resistance and have succeeded thus far. :D
