How well do you think Sunset Overdrive will do?

In terms of sales number and public knowledge, how well do you think Sunset Overdrive will do?

I think it'll do well critically, but I highly doubt it'll be the system seller for the Xbox One.

Yeah agreed. It might sell a few systems, but nothing major I wouldn't think.

Yeah unfortunately I see this happening as well which would be sad if it turns out to be as good as I think it will.

I kind of expect the game to be disappointing. R&C was always well received but Insomniac's non-platformers have all generally been forgettable....Fuse, Resistance, Disruptor.

MS needs to market it heavily, which is something Sony and EA never did for Insomniac. The artstyle and boxart will also likely work against it with mainstream audiences.

I think the release date will hurt it more than anything. It's easy for a new franchise to get lost in the noise of the usually hectic October/November release lineups.

As well as any game i guess, who knows and who cares.

I will wait for this on PC and make my judgement then.

It will do "meh", probably sell around 600,000 - 800,000.

If you include sales of the game bundled in with the white xb1 then that could help significantly. Im not too bothered by the game to be honest (looks fun but nothing amazing) but I'm buying the bundle for the white console. I'll probably blitz the campaign before trading it in.
