Puzzle Quest - probably one of the most innovative titles I've seen this year. Very addicting, and tons of value.

Mass Effect, I would have picked it for GOTY and rated it a 9.5. I looked at the November sales charts and was sad to see that it debuted as the #6 best seller, already getting lost among the sea of high-profile action games and shooters of 2007.UT_Wrestler

Bah, ME deserved what it got. The game suffered from some really bad design choices. Maybe I'm being harsh because when I played it I was holding it up to the standards that KOTOR set and was disappointed to find that I didn't enjoy the game nearly as much as KOTOR, but the game did have its flaws.

Anyway, as for games that I think don't get enough credit, there's a lot, and I'll ignore the ones everyone has already said and just name two since I don't feel like making an enormous list: Frequency and Amplitude. Two great rythym games that no one played (which is made even more sad considering how many Guitar Hero fans there are out there). For those who don't know, Frequency and Amplitude were Harmonix's first two games and are pretty much the spiritual predecessors to the GH series.

Anyone who enjoyed the 16-bit era rpgs would like BLUE DRAGON. It should have gotten an 8. sackem51
