Doom Vs. Duke Nukem 3D

While I adore Duke3d, the map design and pacing in Doom is better imo, not just from ID themselves, but third parties.

If you think Dark souls is hard try act 4 on nightmare.

I have always liked both games.

But I gotta go with Duke Nukem 3D. I just had too much fun with that.

It was just simply fun with its thematic and interactive environments, big open areas, enjoyable weapons, and of course the walking cliche that was Duke himself (which was genuinely entertaining back in the day).

Have to go with the two Doom games, Yes I can't say which one I prefer over the other. That said Duke Nukem 3D is on a firm second place. Liked it alot more then Quake, Blood, Rise of the Triad and Hexen. There was a certain type of flair to Duke Nukem 3D that made it stand out compared to the others.

Gonna go with D00M, love the franchise.

DOOM 2, I consider it to be the best video game of all time, even barely above GC's great Metroid Prime, the only 2 games I have given a perfect score.

got to go with the doom games just for the sheer amount of time i spent with them

I lean more forward to Duke.

I would say Doom 2, then Duke 3D, then the original Doom.

Honestly it would be hard to chose between both franchises, but if I had to I would lean towards Duke 3D. Doom was the first, and oh how I wasted hours in that game, but Duke was just more smart ass, rude, and raunchy. So many death match hours spent on both franchises.

I played the hell out of these games in their day, let me tell ya. Ended up voting for Doom, although it's a tough call.

Out of those classic FPS games, it goes like this for me:

DOOM, DOOM 2, Wolfensteing 3D >>>> Duke Nukem 3D

OG Doom & wolfenstein are the best of those old fps games
