My PSP 1000 just broke down (for the fourth time) and the repair price exceeded the selling price, so I was wondering if I should buy PSP 3000 or 3DS (or DS Lite, which one's better ?) I'm a casual gamer that likes RPGs, especially the harvest moon series (which I've been playing at since childhood), though also interested in other genres. Since my work requires me to be at places, gaming mobility is a must, no emulators advice please (since most of my friends keep telling me this whenever I ask their advice) Another point is, I really find the resume feature (in which you switch off a game and when it came back on you were on exactly the same screen you quitted from) in PSP very useful, which is why I'm asking if DS has a similar feature. thanks in advance guys :)

If you're into SRPG's get the PSP, it has tons of those. 3DS ends up having more variety when it comes to JRPG's

PSP 3000 is your best choice. I have a DS (for my second daughter) and a PSP 3000 for myself and my oldest daughter. One thing about DS is that they are notorious for family style, arcade like games for children. The PSP allows you to expand more on different genres. Just my opinion.
