The Guiness World Records have named Call of Duty the best series ever, beating every other series out there.

Who the hell voted on this? A bunch of pre-schoolers?

Most popular or best? There's a difference.

They base it on the collected metacritic scores of each game and average it out. That's how The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was named the "best" video game of all-time (it has a 99/100 on metacritic)

Honestly, I still like the series. Sure it's not the greatest (that's too subjective of a topic), but it's still enjoyable when they get it right. The gameplay at least is always great.

Democracy is overrated.

I don't know if I'd exactly call it the best franchise ever but it sure is an excellent one and one that I highly enjoy playing currently.

It was never meant to work, it was only meant to make people "THINK" they have a voice.

Agreed, popularity doesn't always mean quality, however, I will say that COD4 was the best overall(SP and MP) in the series!

Over the years I have somewhat lost interest in the MP, but I still enjoy the stories in the campaign mode.

to be honest they don't know what the hell the're talking about, its battlefield. plus the're suppose to do records, what the hell are they doing in gaming?

Hmm, i wonder who they asked in that poll because that poll is as accurate as if i asked a thief to hold my wallet and expect it not to be taken.

We're talking about a franchise that has fish AI, dogs, Kevin Spacey, and a "Press X to pay your respect"-sequence. Its was inevitable.
