The 8-bit and the 16-bit eras were the times of the best Disney games.

Here are some of them:

Which did you like the best or have the most fond memories of?

I would say I like World of Illusion best but Mickey Mania is a close second.

Aladdin (Genesis version) and Maui Mallard are also superb.

Discuss.

well , I had them on the PC , but Aladdin , Lion King , and Jungle Book , were great games, especially the first 2.

in fact, Aladdin on the PC/MD is still one of my favourite 2D platformers.

I enjoyed Aladdin(both versions but the SNES version is a little better imo), most of the Mickey Games, Duck Tales 1-2, and Darkwing Duck a lot. I still need to play some of those.

I liked Mickey Mania best. I loved the animation and the premise of playing through the old movies was neat.

Forgot Gargoyles. Hell yeah that was fun too.

Toy Story for Genesis is all-time favorite on that picture list. Roger Rabbit for NES I have some memories of that game, just me screaming, WHERE THE HECK DO I GO!? Lion King for Genesis was insanely hard for me, don't laugh at me :P

I've always said the Genesis Aladdin was but, but I'm playing the snes version right now and I'm starting to think otherwise. Perhaps I was wowed by the visuals of the genesis one all this time to notice the snes one having the more cohesive platforming.

My favorite is Duck Tales for NES. It plays kind of like Megaman but easier and I think it's a lot more fun, personally. The music is awesome too.

Runner up is Aladdin for Genesis. Great game but the last couple levels are a bear.

Awesome! The best of the were Duck Tales and Chip N Dale... I had no idea they made sequels for those games but the originals were really good. I particularly remember the music in both games being extremely good. I also had Roger Rabbit and the SNES and Genesis versions of Aladdin. Also very good games but the Genesis Aladdin was very unforgiving. Could not beat it without cheat codes. I remember Roger Rabbit for Gameboy being really good too.

My feelings exactly. I owned the Genesis Aladdin (and still do) and always thought it was the superior version seemingly just because of the fantastic animation of that version and because I thought it was cooler that he used a sword in the Genesis version. But over the years, first from renting the SNES version many, many years ago and now being able to play it more extensively I come to feel the SNES version does have the better gameplay making it the better game.

Also the SNES's version has great graphics in it's own right (obviously it has more vibrant colors over the Genesis version) but I also liked how the story was closer to the movie compared to the Genesis version. The abrupt and almost nonexistent ending of the Genesis version was incredibly irritating to me as well.

Castle of Illusion was great on Genesis.

My favourites were Quack Shot and Lion King though.

Lion King remains one of my favourite platformers of all time... Minus the Savannah level where you had to growl to make the monkeys throw you in different directions. Incredibly frustrating when you get 5 right then the final one chucks you in the lake

Oh and the part where you ride on the back of an Ostrich and accidentally jump instead of crouching under a branch and have to start again haha.

Castle of Illusion was one of my favourite platformers back in the days.

And Duck Tales had some great chiptune tracks.

And I also enjoyed both the Capcom and Sega/Virgin versions of Aladdin.

Toy Story 2 for the PS1 is so incredible. You guys should seriously give it a try, it's quite cheap nowadays.

I can remember Adventures In The Magic Kingdom for NES.

I also remember it being a pain in the posterior in difficulty LOL.

All great games, though there is one Disney game that I preferred over all of them, and I think it's old enough to be considered Classic now:

Don't know why, but this one always sticks out to me more than the earlier ones, and was probably the last good Disney game, at least outside of the Kingdom Hearts series.

This is actually Mickey Mania with improved graphics and sound.
