Can I buy destiny used?

My friend said Destiny has download codes that you need and I have to get it brand new? This is for Ps4

No there aren't any download codes. You can buy it used.

You can purchase it used however, it is possible that codes for DLCs included with the disc have been exchanged so you'll have to purchase them.
