yeah, it's pretty reliant on the dupe glitch, so you can't do this run anymore. Video creator pretty much says it's just for fun and speed runners won't be using it because it will patched...which it was. Never knew about that "short cut" to the forgotten woods, which i guess still works.
That shortcut is nice, though. Would get slaughtered by those enemies in forgotten woods without duping to gain levels, but you could still use that route, unlock cainhurst early and pilfer the saber and evelyn right away instead of having to wait. Cainhurst enemies are pretty easy to run by. Would have been nice to know before I started my tinge/skill character.
