Best forgotten games on NES or SNES

Basically don't say Mario or Zelda etc. We already know those.

I want game suggestions that I may have forgotten about.....also, could you please state the genre of the game!

NES: Contra and Super C. Rush & Attack. Metal Gear games. 1942 (shooter). Ghost & Goblins. Kid Niki (adventre) Rygar (adventure Great game, AWFUL ending for all you did) Oh man, so many to even make a nice list.

SNES: Act Raiser 1 & 2(adventure, kind of RPG). Street Fighter 2. Killer Instinct (Fighters)

A few games I loved on NES that aren't remembered or talked about as much include Shadowgate (Text Adventure), Life Force (shooter), Pro Wrestling, Faxanadu (Adventure/RPG), Blades of Steel (hockey), and Duck Tales (Action/Adventure). I'm sure there's more I've forgotten, there were just so many fun games on the NES. My SNES experience is sadly lacking as I had a Genesis when I was a kid instead; I haven't played much from SNESother than the biggest name titles.
