it will be like that video about halo taking over the world, everyone plays it and wars are done by it and then the world loses elictiricty and the world falls apart and everyone kills eachother and than civilization is reborn
Video game consoles would be smaller than the Nintendo DS or even a SD card, virtual reality would be a reality, and the advanced technology would make the Wii Remote and motion sensing like child's play.
It's crazy to think about, but there's really no telling. Entertainment like music has existed and survived this long so it's interesting to think about how video games will evolve in that time.
That is if the world isn't bombarded by meteors by then. Or taken over by angry polar bears from the melting polar ice caps.
I'm sure we will have destroyed ourselves by then.
Anyways to answer the question. You will slip in a contact lens and a chip will be implanted next to your ear and then one somewhere in your brain. With the three combined you will be able to make phone calls, watch TV, play virtually reality, work from home (probably a cell, where you have an IV, feeding tube, and cathoder. No excruciating pain because the chip in your brain will tell you that you are feeling good. At the same time a machine will be causing electromagnetic pulses in the muscles to prevent you from becoming too weak. All work will be done from home in the Virtual World. No one will be able to go outside containment facilties due to lethal viruses, biohazards, and the complete lack of an ozone layer causing anyone to get radiation sickness from the sun.)
its actually rediculous, like games have been around bout 20 years and look where we are, the capabilities of the PS3 and the WII motion, soon they'll have a successful virtual boy, in 1000 years i can't imagine.
On a lighter note, I'm hoping within the next 50 years or so they'll come up with some wicked virtual reality. I can't wait to get into CS:Reality and frag some young punks in virtual real-life graphics with my 50 years of first person shooter experience :twisted:

No..not really. Think about it.."video" have been around for less then a century. "Video gaming" has been around for only 40 or so years. 1000 years? No such thing as video anymore...I think your going a little far..maybe 500 years we will have artifical intelligence and games that dont need dev's anymore..all they need is your mind to create them.
