Are these Mortal Kombat X rumors really true?

I cant tell if this is a post by someone who actually knows a developer at Midway or not, but he says there is going to be a surprise release of 5 new characters? That's pretty cool. Got it off reddit:

DoA is better anyway.

I learned from the last one to wait for the Komplete edition. Get all the characters without spending lots of extra cash.
