Just curious if anyone has yet to play Witcher 3 and your reasons for doing so.
This topic is locked from further discussion.
I haven't played Witcher 2 because I haven't played Witcher 2 as well.
I did finish the first one and I have the second one but I never got around to play it. When I do, I'll think about the third one, hopefully in a future where its price will be incredibly low. I have a thing for low prices.
Games doesn't really appeal to me. I got a lot of back log games that I need to complete before Metal Gear Solid, fallout 4, Star Wars battlefront comes out.
Because it'll get cheaper.
I have other games to play, great ones too. Just finished Ori & The Blind Forest, Pillars of Eternity and Her Story which I very much enjoyed
Being a Witcher game it probably also has bugs, will release DLC, enhanced editions that will come out in an eventual Enhanced package and it will be all patched up
I also dont like playing RPGs that are the flavour of the month talk on the internet gaming space to avoid spoilers and to see/play the game later in a focus where there isnt a honeymoon season going on.
I'm sure the game is great. I played the first two and was even meaning to play the 2nd one again in the meantime through Iorveth's path, but I doubt i'll get around to doing that.
No desire to do so. Of course, I don't like to play a series unless I've played the previous installments, and I don't have the time to budget for such a big game.
I have owned witcher 1 and 2 for several months and I still have not played them, maybe I will try them over the summer and if I like them I will consider buying witcher 3 during the winter sales. I never pay full price for games so it will be awhile until I consider buying the witcher 3
@RSM-HQ: It definitely is an aquired taste. I sunk almost 300 hours into my W3 playthrough. I can see where it can be off putting for other people. Kudos for actually playing the game and giving it a chance though, I know too many people who just dismiss games for the purpose of doing so.
Not enough time. Still going through my backlog from last year and need to pickup Arkham knight soon. Then MGSV is out in September.
I just don't want to play as Geralt. I don't understand him or the Witcher games. Maybe someday I'll try.

Always been that way, don't judge what you don't know. And it's not my thing to comment on a game I've never tried.
The Witcher games have a target audience, I just don't think the recent installment is as wide-appealing as its been advertised. Most people who buy it are expecting Skyrim 2.0. Why? I dunno. . Probably because the fanbase compare it to ESV in every form of media.
I'd say TW3 has more in common with Dragon Age Inquisition.
