Any good life simulation games?

Let's see I own a WII, DSI XL, X360, and a PS3

I know that I've said to myself in a thread I made asking people "which video game genre do you find the most boring" that life sim games are boring as heck and is like doing work or school on a video game. However that being said. There are exceptions to each genre.

For instance. In the driving cateogory. People prefer arcade racers rather than racing sims. I guess you have more options and freedom such as explore the world, use nitrous and and do other stuff not mostly available In racing sims. But back on topic

Are there any good life sims games

From what I heard Euro Truck simulator is fun(I see a lot of people saying this) and I've always wanted to own some of the Sims games.

So are there any good titles in this genre or are all life sims pretty boring for me to play?

When I think of life sims, I think of The Sims. I don't care much for it. But, my sister is a doctor and she plays it a lot. She's fascinated by the behavioral aspects in the game.

I like Animal Crossing a lot, but some people just see it as a chore simulator.

as for pc I can only think of the tycoon series

@lucianocasanova: You have a Wii and DS, so you can play at least three of the older Animal Crossing games, which are all pretty legit.
