Any ew games out their that are story driven and awesome?

I just finished watching a no commentary let's play of Destiny and was disappointed with the lack of story. Great game, if your expectations are pure action and lots of grinding from level to level, but for a viewer watching let's plays, it's disappointing.

I don't have a gaming PC and I sold my Xbox a while back, so I'm looking for games that have good stories so I can watch them on youtube.

Any suggestions? What games did you like because they had interesting stories?

Plenty of those around. My personal favorite is The Last of Us.

However, you are going to ruin your life by watching these games instead of playing them specially 2,3,4 and 5.

The Order is a pretty good story driven game. I don't understand why it's getting poor reviews.

The Last Of Us is the only narrative-driven game I've played where the story isn't mediocre or terrible.

Excellent game. My favorite.

But I don't have a PS4. I'm watching The Last of Us right now though and I'm loving it! Wish I could play it.

The wait'll be worth it.

I can't believe you're spoiling so many games' plots for yourself by just watching them all the way through on youtube :-(. If funds are an issue, have you considered picking up a PS2 or something and playing games with great stories on that platform for pennies while your finances recover enough to afford a current system? It's your call, of course, on how to spend your time, but it's just so sad to think of you watching 15 hours of TLOU instead of actually playing it

Try Mass Effect trilogy games, they are great story driven and my favorite Sy-Fy games.

I live in Ecuador. Electronics are taxed on the way in, so I'd have to spend $800 for a One or a PS4. it doesn't look like I'll be getting out of this land fill any time soon. I'm screwed. Screwed!

I enjoyed watching the last of us on youtube, because I didn't have a PS4 either. Saves me a lot of money and I get to see what everyone's raving about. lol

Exactly! As fun as the gameplay looks, when I play the single player on a video game, I play for the story experience with the gameplay being secondary. I'd play a great game with crappy gameplay and a good story any day. Kind of like Mass Effect 1. Crap gameplay, awesome story experience. So I'm still happy watching games like this on youtube.

I wouldn't even bother watching any sort of multiplayer on youtube though. Too boring, lol. When it comes to multiplayers, gameplay is king.

Why don't you just watch web series instead ?

I love games with good stories, but to watch them and have to trudge through all the gameplay parts when all I can do is watch...? Eh.. If you're hellbent on watching games then Mass Effect, maybe some Final Fantasy or, for laughs, games like Portal or The Stanley Parable.

Up to you. TLoU has excellent gameplay to compliment its story. But to each their own.

Highly underrated title, and perhaps one of the most depressing games ever.

I would definitely say the Last of Us and the Uncharted games for sure. If you're looking for something other than Naughty Dog, I'm a huge Mass Effect fan (including the books) I would recommend that as well.

The Last of Us and The Witcher seem the obvious picks. Bioshock Infinite and maybe an Assassin's Creed Black Flag were good too.

I haven't gotten to playing Wolfenstein: The New Order yet but the idea of a Nazi controlled present day seems really interesting.

Will you guys hate me if i say Assassin's Creed Unity?
