Scratched disc: what to do...

#1 Posted by sergioalb64 (2697 posts) -

I have a very scratched-up Super Mario Strikers and it won't load gameplay. I've tried the toothpaste cleaning method and one of those disc repair kits and both have only made things worse.

What would you do? I really have no idea of what to try next.

Why do people not realize that manufacturers can often replace the disc with a small fee or for free? Nintendo has a website with info on scratched disc replacements however your ill advised attempts to repair have forfeited any free replacement.

Look on the nintendo.com website. It's easy to find. You may learn some things.

It's also inside every single manual for every single game that Nintendo releases.

I bring games to my local video store, they repair discs perfectly for $5.

Just buy a new copy. Stores still sell Super Mario Strikers.
