What was the very first system in your home as a kid? Mine was the Intellivision. I played Pitfall, Burger Time, Night Stalker, Space Armada, Astrosmash, and B-17 BomberĀ all the time. Then came the NES which was such a step up. It was so good in fact that it stunted my social development.

Well, my first system was the NES... but shouldn't this thread be posted in the General Games Discussion board?

The first system I owned was a Super NES, then a Nintendo 64. I have a NES that I found in my attic though.

NES, then a few years later, I got a Game boy pocket.Ā  My dad wouldn't let me get another gaming system until 2004 (gamecube).Ā  I now own a GC, Wii, PSP, PS2, DS, and GBA.

By system I take it you mean system that uses different game cartridges.

In that case, it'd be the ColecoVision and the first games I remember playing were Donkey Kong which came with the system and Smurf Rescue.

Before that I owned a pong type standalone system from Radio Shack which played a variety of games like tennis, hockey etc which were all basically just varieties of pong.

My first system was a Genesis I got when I was five or six. Long after getting that I got an N64. Then a playstation. After that I started picking stuff up left and right and now I've got every major system release from the Genesis to the 360.

The first system I had (and I still have it) was the NES. Came with the extremely common SMB/Duck Hunt cartridge.

My first system was Coleco Adam; hybrid Colecovision and home computer.Ā  I played Buck Rogers, Donkey Kong, and other Colecovision games: Mr. Do!, Time Pilot, Baseball, Rocky, etc.Ā  They were very good.

Later, my cousin gave me his Intellivision III with Burger Time, and B-17 Bomber.

I bought NES with Super Mario Bros, and Duck Hunt.
