FF Tactics had rather awesome storyline, but I really liked VI's and X's as well... Haha, just a few months ago I would've probably shouted VII all the way :P too tired to get hyper about the game anymore.
FFT was an incredible game, but I felt real sorry for how history treated Ramza after all the good he did. But I was super glad to see what happened to delita for those of you who watched past the credits :)
Overall I have to say that FFX was the story that drew me in the most. To date, I have put in more hours on that game than any other other I have played and I loved every second of it. Â
FFX by a mile. The other games I liked the stories and wanted to continue to see what would happen, but X was really captivating for some reason. Ever since I played it last summer I've been searching for a gaming experience that would match it story wise, but not having any luck.
Ya X was the first ever ff game i played and thats what hooked and got me into ff games because the story just blew me away at first i thought they made a film and then had a game version of it thats how much i thought the story was good !
I'd say FFX just because it seemed to bring all the great story elements together in a way that just caught my attention and swept me along with it. Spira seemed exotic and interesting with all its locals and it was also my first FF.

Don't get me wrong, I would absolutely love to, it's just I cannot seem to find it anywhere, so I'm contemplating purchasing it over the Internet, however, I'm always really skeptical about games I purchase over the Internet.
Call me biased, but FFVII will always be my favourite. FFX comes a very close runner up, absolutely adored that game and spent far too many hours of my life on it playing Blitzball and completely owning the Al Bhed.

I wasn't considering buying X-2. Some of my friends who played it refered to it as a disappointment of sorts, but sure, why the heck not? It's kinda cheap, plus it'll continue on the supposed awesomeness of FFX! :D

I agree that the battle system was really good in X-2. I didn't find other features to be horrendous though except for maybe how you can miss certain dress spheres if you don't go through missions in a certain order or way so you kinda need either the internet or a guide just to get all the class options.

What about the music? Everything was pure pop, too girlie for some people. But i'm sure Square was trying to catch the attention of the female players.
My favourite story it's VIII and then X. Guess i like romantic scenes lol
