Morning,
First off, I am 49, so if i sound grumpy now and then you know why.
That out of the way i have been a F! fan for many years and can remember laughing at fatty Mansells attempts to get in and out of a ferrari (my favourite team), and Berger and Alesi coming together despite being on the same team.
I am a PS3 owner (bosslockstock) and can be found playing F1 championship although I am also a big Gran T fan, not a great driver, justt a big fan...more of a rolling roadblock than a contestor.
I live in NE England, am single (again) and look forward to some interesting insights on the 2008 season.
BTW, I also play a lot of BF2MC on the PS2 and am loving Warhawk and Oblivion at the mo, so it isn't all petrolhead stuff
Clarkson for PM!
Hi all
I am from the UK and have enjoyyed Formula 1 since the good old days with Hakkinen. I look forward to seeing this union when I can.
Hello all,
Name's Mike, I'm 25 and live in the US. Grew up watching NASCAR, watched it off-and-on the last few years and followed it close this year. Yeah yeah those guys that go in circles, actually it's an oval, and they do race on 2, count 'em 2, road tracks. It's been pretty exciting. I love pretty much all motorsports.
Now to F1. Caught bits and pieces of it over the years, it's hard to compete for airtime with NASCAR and IndyCar. This year thanks to SPEED channel and being at my parents' home, I have seen most F1 races this year. I like watching F1 because it is something different, and it's nice to just enjoy the race. A NASCAR race can get tense just like I'm sure you all get with F1. I love watching F1 because of the excitement and small margin of error required of the drivers and teams.
I like the McLaren Mercedes team, mostly because my mom and dad lived in Germany a few years and we've always been fans of the German automakers (own BMW and Porsche currently, had a Merc years ago). So I also like to see the BMW Sauber team do well, although I know now they usually don't. :) Don't really pull for Ferrari, pulling for the underdogs and all. But I hated to see Kimi wipeout in Spa, since he's the underdog at Ferrari (for now).
I also love learning about all the technology that is throughout F1. Learned this morning during qualifying that the drivers have window defoggers on their helmet's visor. That's awesome!
That's enough later. Oh yeah and I can't wait for F1 to come back to the US, 2010 I think. BTW, me and mjk1 go way back. :D
*grumbles & mumbles from other alcoholics in a circle of chairs*
Wait, why am I here? I don't even drink!
Oh wow. I've been here for over a year and I've yet to introduce myself. How embarassing.
Anyway, hello. My username is kingdre, I'm from the Philippines, and I only started getting into F1 a couple years ago. I'm a huge fan of McLaren and I don't mind cheering for any other team that isn't Ferrari. :P
How awfully rude of myself for not introducing myself after a couple of months on this brilliant union!!

Hi, my name is James
I'm 13 years old, 14in January and have been an F1 fan my whole life. I also know more then some about past F1 events etc. I know back to at least 1970's. I live in Melbourne, Australia and every year the formula one is at Albert Park I always by a 4 day pass and watch everything. My favourite driver is obviously Kimi Raikkonen although for 2010 i'm going for Kubica. I am a 3 time Go Kart champion in my league (which I have been at for 3 years) and am looking to move up a tier to get a chance to race better people.

Hello everyone!
I´m Alex,26 years old and I´m from Lisbon,Portugal.
Been folowing F1 closely since the Prost vs Senna days(who can forget the suzuka battle in 89?),and from 1994 until today,I have not lost a single qualifiyng or race(on tv,of course :D).
The only driver that I can say that was my fav one was Damon Hill.Since he retired in 2000,I watch the races only for the pleasure and don´t really cheer for no one(well, that´s a bit untrue,I obviously cheered my countrymen Pedro Lamy and Tiago Monteiro).
I used to go to the Portuguese GP in Estoril(been there in 93,94 and 96 races)until 1996,when the GP got out of the championship.I have high hopes for the new portuguese track in Algarve(portimão)as everyone(renown drivers and teams) has been praising the track layout.
Cheers everyone.
Very much lol..but given the general trend of not completing things on time,im not sure if the track will be f1 ready..but lets hope :P
btw they say indian track will be 2nd fastest in the entire world,is it true?only monza beats it :D

Well it can only be speculation to this moment in time given no one's raced on it, but the first half of the lap looks like a speedy one at least - second half looks a bit more technical.
