I still haven't recovered from how amazing yesterday was. Anywhoos, some of the pics you might like:

Sauber really are in a mess right now, aren't they?
Robin Frijns (reserve driver) has just lost his GP2 seat due to a lack of funding, and almost immediately at the same time it was announced that Nico Hulkenberg has been seen at the Lotus factory today, sparking rumours this could be his last weekend with Sauber...Â
I hope this is not the case, if it is, how the heck has it happened as they were really strong last year and I would have assumed big bucks would have come in from that and also the whole Esteban been seen as a pay driver with Carlos Slim backing from Mexico (whether right or wrong, I feel like this is how he and Perez have both been seen when announced for the Sauber driver seats).
I would assume Nico could be been talked about taking Grosjeans seat given his contract expires this season and Nico likes to move around, a lot! I hope this is not the end of Sauber, if it is, then there will be more because there is no way a team like them can lack funding but Caterham, Marruisia, Williams, etc can be making profit given how poor their seasons are currently doing (or have since joining in some cases).
Also this http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/108788
Basically it is saying a few Russian organizations/companies have invested into Sauber and a Russian driver is lined up for a drive next year with them (potentially as a test driver I assume given his age, maybe a second seat or as a test driver/GP2 seat given the other guy has just pulled out). I do hope Sauber stick around, bar the whole Chelsea badge being on their car, I really like them and how they really seem to give drivers a chance on skill rather than cash (like we have seen Massa, Perez, and others go through the ranks at Sauber).
Damn, how have I never seem this thread before?
Nico Hulkenburg seems to be able to extract much more out of an underpowered car than most, Guttierez has been nowhere near him all season. He needs a decent seat, I'm really excited to see what he can do in a capable car.Â
Damn, how have I never seem this thread before?sambob530Probably because there's currently thirteen pinned threads
In news that will make SadPSPAddict a happy man:
More evidence to say Hamilton is pretty darned quick: we know he's got more poles than anyone else so far this season, but his qualifying average is actually the best of anyone (2.6) - just beating Sebastian Vettel (2.7). He's had more front row starts than anyone else and is one of four men to have appeared in Q3 for every session (in fact, the last time Hamilton did not take part in Q3 was the 2010 Malaysian Grand Prix!).
Rosberg doesn't always beat Lewis Hamilton in qualifying, but when he does, he puts it on pole position.Â
Technically, three men haven't beaten their teammate in Qualifying - Mark Webber, Esteban Gutierrez and Max Chilton - however the latter isn't statistically counted as Bianchi's car failed in Monaco before he could even set a lap time (otherwise Jules would have a clean sweep over Max).
Incredibly, Maldonado has yet to recieve a grid penalty at all this season. Those that have are Webber, Massa, Raikkonen, Grosjean, Hamilton, Gutierrez, Ricciardo, Pic, van der Garde and Chilton.
Out of 623 possible laps so far, Hamilton and Raikkonen lead the way having completed 622. Button would be with them too had he not been pulled in 3 laps from the end of the Malaysian GP (Button, along with Kimi and Lewis, are the three drivers to have been classified finishers of every race in 2013).
Adrian Sutil has completed the least laps in F1 this year, just 490.
Vettel has the most wins and podiums, winning four races and being on the podium for another three.Â
I must say the Maldonaldo haters are struggling this year, admittedly the car is not doing too great but Pastor seems to be putting in consistent times and got Williams their first point of the season. Not bad for a pay driver eh?Garfield360UKCounter-point: Bottas' highest grid place is 3rd in the tricky conditions that were in Canada Qualifying (Pastor meanwhile hasn't been any higher than 13th), plus he's 6-4 up on Maldonado too. In race trim it's equal at 5-5, so even though Pastor does have the point I'd still say Bottas is doing better, just. The rookie is edging out an F1 race winner.
According to wikipedia... 8 speed gearboxes are the order for next year lol. KA is this right?kipi19Seven plus reverse?
Haha XD
Grand Prix 4 was fantastic, why can't the F1 games have marshals and cranes anymore rather than disappearing cars?Â

Ha, look at this quote I found from XSamFisherX from the 2008 Italian GP thread...
Hoorah for Vettel! Think he can win 90 more?XSamFisherX
That's 60 to go, now.Â
Mr Alonso has reportedly said he has important news to tell in a few days!!
Is this a move or contract extension!?

Is this something to do with him buying a cycle team that was about to go bankrupt from his home town or something? My guess it is a press release about that, but who knows (I am pretty sure I heard it on the radio, was not sure if it was a joke or whether it was actually true, if true then its kind of a nice thing and he would go up slightly in my estimation from what I heard about him previously).
What a week it is for F1PU, I've just noticed:
Wednesday: F1PU's 8th Anniversary
Today: Ex-F1PU Leader's birthday (err, that's me)
Tomorrow: New F1PU Leader's birthday (that's SadPSPAddict!)Â
Now Seb has basically won title number 4 will people drop the boring 'lucky not talented' tag & realise we're watching one of the greatest? All #F1 fans should realise we're the lucky ones to get to see a guy so talented, driven & determined that in 4 seasons no one's matched himJake Humphrey on Twitter
I don't doubt his abilty, not at all, but normally the mark of a true champion is bringing decent results with a shoddy car, Lewis showed that in 2009, Alonso showed it in 2007-2008, Senna and Prost always showed it back in the day, Vettel hasn't done this yet, also, the car is i'd say 4 tenths a lap faster than anyone else, so no wonder no one can catch him.
That is what makes me bored. :lol:Â

A win there, plus a vast amount of decent results from the Toro Rosso before/after that race. Plus, who nearly cost Hamilton the 2008 World Title?
