how do u guys think he will do in the R28?

I think he'll do better than expected but he won't be a WDD contender

what do u guys think?

Yeah, I'd say about the same. He won't contend for the title, but I expect he'll pick up a few podiums, maybe even fluke a win.

Last years Renault was a bit of a dog. I doubt Alonso can bring "six tenths" to the team. Renault have been working on this car since April 2007 so I expect them to have closed the gap a little but not enough to challenge for the title unless they have SERIOUSLY sandbagging in testing (Which I doubt) There is talk of a radical rear wing design they are VERY confident will bring them a full 0.5sec a lap but thats a bit much... They intend on debuting it in Melbourne to avoid teams developing their own solution in time. *shrug* the team might be closer but Alonso won't make any difference in my opinion.

I prefer the old Alonso at Renault.I hated him last time,but compare to Lewis Hamilton,I started to like Alonso more.

Alonso himself has said at the moment in time, a podium in Australia is a "dream" as he believes the team hasn't caught up enough to Ferrari, McLaren and BMW.

I think for the first few race Alonso won't get a podium, he and Renault will gain momentum after that...
