gamepad vrs mouse?

i have been thinking of getting this. i had played and enjoyed one and two on the pc, however i could only get into torchlight on pc for me i just could not get into it on 360. the only difference i could see was that on pc i played with a mouse. yet i see a lot af people enjoying and preferring this to the pc version. has it transfered well on to the gamepad?

I still don't find it convenient to use gamepads with games like this, but I heard they've done a good job with Diablo 3. Still, you should hear from people who actually played the console version before taking a call. As for me, I love the PC version which is awesome with mouse.

For games like this, it is always better to have a mouse in my opinion, because its more flexible, sustainable, and easier to handle.
