Painting in Anor Lando

ok for some reason i went back to the asylum got the peculiar doll and have checked about eight times and seen it in my inventory but whenever I try to interact with the painting it says "contraption does not move" and just refuses to let me enjoy this game. Any advice or help or anything would be greatly appreciated.

Its an optional area anyway. Though there are some decent items. Pc or console?

Sounds like a terrible bug..... I'll be honest with you, I have no idea how to fix this. But I can offer perhaps an alternate solution. Get a MM file. It has the Lordvessel in it and allows you to simply warp to it.

It's of no use to your current character, but if you want to check out the level, it's an option.

One other thing I can think of is, when you touch the painting, are you sure you're not getting invaded? Or at least, the game attempts to have someone invade you? (Fog wall closed)

Be hollow and drop the doll if possible then pick it back up?
