Oh I understood, the thing is I don't want the email in the 1st place, as I'm likely to check them sooner via the site 1st anyway, and this sort of bug isn't common enough to warrant my email account getting filled up with PMs from the site just because I don't check it daily. The facebook spam saying that I haven't logged in forever is bad enough.

Oh I understood, the thing is I don't want the email in the 1st place, as I'm likely to check them sooner via the site 1st anyway, and this sort of bug isn't common enough to warrant my email account getting filled up with PMs from the site just because I don't check it daily. Oh gotcha. I actually love e-mails as you can read at your leisure. Also, I notice e-mails way before I would notice a pm here mostly due to my own personal bug of plus 1 garbage. And I can read them without having to log into GS.

I might have unintentionally and/or indirectly gotten him into his +1 predicament when I told him how to "un-ignore" a user, since his issue started sometime afterward. I don't know that for sure though. In any case, I naturally have a couple theories about what's going on, but without wanting to risk things getting any worse I think we've agreed that trying to live with it might be the safer course for the time being. Really though, someone who knew how the database was organized could probably root around and figure out what was really happening. Sorry again Drac.

Yes, I blame everything on gmax! I asked you how to un-ignore users so it is my fault. I got use to checking my pm box every once in a while now. In the beginning it was annoying :P

A while back I sent Drac a way to unignore a user, but I didn't discover it until after his bug occurred. You can use a PM from yourself to an ignored user if you don't have one from them.

Chances are my method did the same thing - I figured it out from something way back; it might have been something like that. I never got a +1 problem in my testing though, so I have no idea what's going on with that. Somewhat off topic I know, but did we ever figure out if there was a way to get a complete list of users you are currently ignoring? Edit - I got a white page when I posted this a minute ago... Not surprising, I guess.

Well, you DID imply that the problem was caused by to much traffic from E3... It doesn't take much common sense to come to that conclusion. Internal server errors (i.e. the bonk error) are caused by a number of reasons, one of which is heavy server load.
Somewhat off topic I know, but did we ever figure out if there was a way to get a complete list of users you are currently ignoring?gmax
The list of ignored users has been known for ages (as in, several years) to my knowledge o,o anyway, it's here - note however that if there's no one on the list it won't show anyone anyway, and ofc you can replace 'self' with a specific username, it is possible to view other's ignore lists as well (provided you can view their profile) - and Drac in particular appears to have no one on that list at this specific point in time, frankly, most users have no one on the ignore list, only a few do.

Yeah that list has always been there but there was never a way to remove them. I had 14 at one point.
This was probably due to all the extra traffic. Undoubtedly. I'm actually impressed they've not had to turn the forums off this year. I completely forgot about that. But this year Fuse keeps going offline instead, which isn't ideal for most people since they can't easily see game updates.

Guys, here's a quick fix if you're looking for game updates: Go to your profile and click "My Updates". It''s the old look but it'll get rid of the mail icon telling you you have updates.
