Words "stick" together.

Hmm, lately I've noticed that this site has started ignoringspaces between words in my posts. This is especially a problem while using "quick quote"-function. It seems that it's not just me, some other people seem to have this problem too. I have tested this too, last three or four posts I was positive that I used "space" key in every appropriate place, still you see "Itis" or "orwhat".

Yup, I'm having exactly the same problem, it's good to know I'm not alone. I've even had entire words excluded, and constantly have to edit, sometimes up to 4 or 5 times to finally get what I want. Proof reading is pretty much useless too.

What IS up with this? It gets pretty annoying, pretty damn fast. Maybe GS will create some new words, who knows?

Is there a fix in the works?

i've noticed it to, so i've come up with a solution that works most of the time. after you quick quote somebody and type your message, hit quick reply and you shouldnt have many problems. i noticed it was real heavy the other day and my suggestion worked for that user

I am tolerant of the occassional bug here and there, but this is getting ridiculous. This constant glitch is becoming really annoying. I almost feel like putting a clarification in my sig. Yes I am a grammar nazi.

It would be nice to get a nod from mods or the webmaster to let us know that they are aware of this problem and are lookinginto how to fix it.

This has been happening to me too and it really bugs me because I'm kind of a grammar freak when it comes to typing.

I noticed that it seems to do it when I put a new word in between existing words as opposed to just typing them out in order.

So I guess we need to not make mistakes for awhile. :lol:

Happening to me as well. Doesn't seem to matter if I use quick reply/quote or the regular buttons. I pride myself on my spelling and grammar, so it's very annoying.

When you go back in to edit posts, it happens more.

Still happening to me some. I never, or hardly ever, use quick quote/reply, and I haven't been copying/pasting that much lately. I use the WYSIWYG editor, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it or not.

At least using the preview button seems to catch it.

FYI, It appears to happen primarily with copying/pasting. So if you're having a really hard time with it, avoid that for the moment. Hopefully will have a fix up later today or early tomorrow. Teivan

It happens with typing for me all the time andhappens using both quick quote and reply. Sometimes it will take5 tries before the words are separated. I actually thought it was my keyboard so I cleaned it but the same thing happens at work. It's really annoying.

This is getting pathetic now, it seriously ruins my posting and leisure time on this board.

Yep- us mods are suffering from this just as much as you are, and it's quite frustrating I'd agree.

I try not to be too hard on the techs though. I know that bugs are sometimes a lot harder to fix then you'd expect. (Sometimes easier too, but I seldom see people post things like "Wow, I'm surprised you fixed that glitch so soon.)

This has been happening to me as well. Whenever I type out my message, I make it with spaces... obviously... but it sure as heck doesn't show up that way when I press Sumbit. I NEVER use the Quick Replies, and I only copy/paste when I am posting links... but I don't usually use links in Forum posts. This issue is also happening to my Blog posts as well.

ya this happens to me also... the only way around it is to use firefox or IE. I use Opera, and have been for years, its just the last several months its been having problems with posts losing their spacing and having just one huge long word...Old_Gooseberry

It doesn't seem to matter what browser you use. I use Firefox on my home PC and IE on my work PC, and it happens on both.

I don't have the problem when I use firefox but it happens a lot with IE.
