Same here. I'm using Firefox as well and I want to log out but I can't because the menu disappears once I take my mouse off the prof pic at the top right corner.

edit: managed to log out by navigating with the arrow keys but it's still annoying

Seems to be a firefox-specific issue - the search bar overlapping the drop down menus also seems to regularly result in the drop-down menu closing, which considering how they work is merely a side effect of the search bar appearing on top.

Hopefully this will be fixed quickly - in the meantime though other browsers such as chrome work fine if necessary.

@harry_james_pot: At least you get that. I don't even get a menu.

Not had one for weeks :(

Also, I'll get a quick fix in for the drop down behind the search shortly

Same thing happens to me, I checked here to see if anyone else had the problem. I use Firefox too. Must be an issue with this browser because this problem isn't present on Chrome.

It's not happening on Chrome on my 8.1 laptop. Here's a pic:

This is happening to me as well on Firefox with Windows 7. The menu disappears when you hover over it.

Same problem with me too. Never noticed how much I utilized the function until it's been ripped from my grasp.

Latest FF, Win7.

Also happening (at home) on Win 7/Firefox 27.01

@stylyy Just tried IE and it works perfectly on my PC whereas Chrome and Firefox don't display the menu at all. Weird.

@stylyy Has that fix gone in? Only asking as now I'm getting the search bar problem (in IE9/Vista), when I previously wasn't.

I was getting this on the newest firefox. Upon checking about 5 mins ago it seems to be fixed. Though I can't say that it's still not a problem on other browsers.

Fixed again now for me too, so someone must be fiddling behind the scenes...

Sorry, I was making some changes that may have messed with some other browsers for a quick second but a fix should be out and good to go now. If any of you are still experiencing anything, hit me up.

Sounds like it's most likely a settings/add-on issue to me: Javascript disabled, script blockers blocking necessary scripts, or even an ad-blocker hiding the menu when it should appear could cause that. Try with add-ons completely disabled, and if that doesn't work make sure JS is enabled...if add-on's disabled does work then figure out the problem add-on by selectively enabling them until it breaks again - after that it's just a matter of either changing settings/filters within the add-on or removing it entirely to fix the issue, preferably the former.
