Suddenly I have a new problem with my stacks that hasn't been there before. Now, whenever I try to add a game to any of the lists (like my "Games I Want" stack), and then try to save my changes, regardless of what the name of the game is, a message pops up briefly for like 2 seconds telling me: "Title needs at least one alpha-numerical character", and I am unable to save my changes (the "save changes" button greys out after that, and when I click "exit editing", my changes haven't been saved...)...I basically can't add any more games to any of my lists anymore...Please fix this. I use my stacks on Gamespot to keep track of all the games I want to buy. This problem is recent as well. I could add games just fine not too long ago.

I was testing something with stacks earlier and was having the same problem. My title for the stack was "Test Stack". I changed the title to just "Stack" and that allowed me to save it. I'm wondering if the system has a problem with spaces in the title.

You're right. I changed the title of my stack to "GamesIWant" in one word without spaces, and that worked, thankfully. I tried "Games-I-Want" as well, but that didn't work, so I guess in addition to spaces, "-" 's are a problem as well. This is all pretty odd though. This problem didn't exist not too long ago. Maybe you should have someone look into it.

Yeah, getting this as well. All of the default stacks are unusable without changing their name.

I was having the same problem. I just took the spaces out, and it's fine now.

So, everybody thinks the whole stack system is terrible right? I'm not the only one? When has it ever been a good idea to add multiple confusing and dysfunctional steps to a simple user-friendly program thereby rendering it completely and utterly useless? I am very curious what the rationale was behind this move?

I wonder what the hold up is. It's been pretty awful for years, you'd think they'd have it sorted out by now. It's almost comical at this point! The lists system this current stacks system replaced functioned well, albeit with a simple GUI and basic functionality. At least it worked, though. Kind of a shame to break something that was working, and break it so completely.

I also get this "Title must contain at least one alpha numeric character" error when trying to edit my stacks. I cannot save anything at the moment.

Same here! It happens to the default 'Games I'm playing" stack which previously did not have such an issue. Please fix!

I can also confirm that the above fix works i.e. renameing your stack to something that does not include spaces, special characters, punctuation marks etc.

I tried create a new stack, and then I delete it, and then I am unable to make a new stack with the same name as the supposed-to-be-deleted stack.

I'll toss my name in the hat as having the same issue as the OP. As far back as I can remember, Stacks have been buggy to the point of, well, pointlessness. Nothing ever wants to save or be changed due to some kind of error I don't understand. Never had this with the older system...*hint-wink-nudge*.

same here. i have tried to add and remove Games I'm Playing and Games I've Finished stacks and i keep getting the Title needs at least one alpha-numerical character message. I haven't had a problem with it before other than it loading slowly. And in fact the entire site is so slow that it feels like i'm on dialup.

I have taken out spaces and punctuation on every stack I have but when I click on the Game I Own stack I get the 500: Internal Server Error message. So I can't even view this stack. Please fix this too.

@kaka22acm145: We should have fixed all the stack issues. Can you tell me specifically what problems you're encountering now?

It still says that "Title must contain at least one alpha numeric character" when trying to save stacks.

@weksi: I just tried and it worked for me. Which stack is giving you this problem? Try clearing your browser cache, or try in incognito mode.

@edgework: I've got the problem with "Games I've Finished" and "Games I'm Playing" stacks.

"Games I Own" works fine.

@rick: Still having problems with stacks. The problem I have regarding accessing a old and large stack gives me "500: Internal Server Error".

I tested with all major browsers but the problem persists. If anyone can help I would be grateful.
