Gamespot and Gamefaqs are basically the same, (same owner, and I've seen some of my gamefaqs forum posts over on Gamespot), but I don't want to set up all of the same stuff on GS that I alreay have on GF...I also am a user level 1 on GS, as opposed to 15 on GF, and at this point, I see no reason in leveling up my GS account...is there a way to sync the two accounts? Including favorite boards, sig/quote profile contact info (wii friend codes), or is there a way to get the two accounts working together from now on...otherwise, I think I'll just stck with gamefaqs...

No, there is no way to sync accounts, other than username/password. However, I prefer this site over the other site because it has a lot more to offer. In fact, I wrote a blog comparing the two sites.

GameFAQs uses the karma system which isn't the same as Gamespot's level system. The only GameFAQ boards accessible from Gamespot are the shared boards for specific games (via the "forum" link on a game's page). The accounts are linked, so you can login to GameFAQs and Gamespot using your same username and password. However, they are still two separate accounts, so your activity on GameFAQs won't count as activity on your Gamespot profile and vise versa.

Gamespot uses a lot of information from Gamefaqs, like release dates of games, and uses the Gamefaqs FAQs, cheats, answering system, and shared message boards, but accounts can be different (I know of users with different names depending on whether they're viewed on Gamespot or Gamefaqs) and most everything else is exclusive to either site (Separate user reviews and ratings for example). And bumps are mostly illegal on Gamespot, which is why they're being removed.

accounts can be different (I know of users with different names depending on whether they're viewed on Gamespot or Gamefaqs) Only with universal accounts, IIRC. And the GameFAQs karma is very different from the gamespot... whatever the hell you use. Karma info can be found here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/features/help/entry.html?cat=18 Here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/gentopic.php?board=2 Here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/gentopic.php?board=10 And, if you're really desperate, here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/gentopic.php?board=573081 The last one is only to be used in dire times, they can be rather... um... unwelcoming.
