Hey all,
As some of you are aware, we've had issues as of late regarding incidents of spam and abuse in our forums and on our user profile walls. We've detailed some of the solutions that we've rolled out for this here in the forums, and in addition to that we've built more sophisticated tools for detecting suspicious account activity and to moderate it.
Today, I wanted to discuss some recent changes that we've made to further help alleviate issues specific to user profile wall abuse.
- User accounts that are less than 3 months old will no longer be able to post more than once consecutively on someone else's wall
- User accounts that are less than 3 months old will no longer be able to make more than two total wall posts or status updates in a 24 hour period
- All users can now delete any post from their own wall. This is done by mousing over the wall post in question and clicking the trash can icon that appears in the top-right corner.
The first two changes were oversights that have finally been corrected and will prevent users from posting multiple abusive messages or create multiple accounts with the intent of doing so. The third is a feature that many of our community members have been asking about for some time--with this implemented, you can now self-moderate your own wall to remove unwanted updates or wall posts without having to ask a moderator or staff member to do so for you.
With that all said, here is a photo of a bunny.
