Hi!

Sorry if I posted in the wrong topic, but I couldn't find the right one. While searching for games I've came across some missings & errors. Mostly some games aren't connected with each other.

1) WCW Nitro: http://www.gamespot.com/wcw-nitro/platform/ps/

PSX version: http://www.gamespot.com/wcw-nitro-1997/

What's funny (or not), the link to other platforms is named/created as it should be for PSX port. However, in PSX version it's named as 'all platforms' link should be, but without the "-1997". My point is, connect all 3 ports together & correct the links.

2) Riven: The Sequel to Myst: http://www.gamespot.com/riven-the-sequel-to-myst/

Saturn version: http://www.gamespot.com/riven-the-sequel-to-myst-1998/

Saturn version is missing in all platforms section & it's link is named incorrectly.

3) Egypt II: The Heliopolis Prophecy: http://www.gamespot.com/egypt-ii-the-heliopolis-prophecy/

PC version: http://www.gamespot.com/egypt-ii-the-heliopolis-prophecy-2000/

PSX isn't connected with PC port + both links are named incorrectly (probably by old Gamespot rules).

4) MTV Sports: Skateboarding Feat. Andy Macdonald: http://www.gamespot.com/mtv-sports-skateboarding-featuring-andy-macdonald/

Dreamcast version: http://www.gamespot.com/mtv-sports-skateboarding-featuring-andy-mcdonald/

Here's a little mess. Not even Dreamcast isn't connected with other ports, but also Macdonald is written as McDonald in the title & link. According to his official site (andymacdonald.com/test/about.html) Macdonald is the correct surname. Thankfully, it's correct in all platforms section. I even found a link with a PC review, but the cover, title & link is from DC: http://www.gamespot.com/mtv-sports-skateboarding-featuring-andy-mcdonald/reviews/mtv-sports-skateboarding-review-2631037/. I'm curious if there are more bugs with this title. Quite a lot of corrections are need to be made:D

5) Broken Sword: The Smoking Mirror: http://www.gamespot.com/broken-sword-the-smoking-mirror/platform/pc/

PSX version: http://www.gamespot.com/broken-sword-ii-the-smoking-mirror/

remastered Iphone version: http://www.gamespot.com/broken-sword-the-smoking-mirror-remastered/

remastered PC version: http://www.gamespot.com/broken-sword-the-smoking-mirror-remastered/

remastered Mac version: http://www.gamespot.com/broken-sword-the-smoking-mirror/platform/mac/

Here's even bigger mess than in previous game. The PC isn't connected with PSX. I don't know if the remastered versions should be connected with the normal ones because & I don't know what is actually remastered (just the graphics or the story as well). What is more, can you add two PC ports to "all platforms section"? Also, when you type "Broken Sword" in the search, then you go to page 3 you'll see Broken Sword: The Smoking Mirror - Remastered on PC. But, when you go in the link you end on Iphone version (maybe it's a problem with my Firefox browser, but it's worth checking out).

6) Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars (aka Circle of Blood): http://www.gamespot.com/broken-sword-shadow-of-the-templars-the-director/reviews/circle-of-blood-review-2538410/

All platforms: http://www.gamespot.com/broken-sword-shadow-of-the-templars-the-director/

The worst of the all! The original PC release titled 'Circle of Blood' is inaccesable from the search page. The link leads to the new director's cut version. Same goes with the summary link from review. I've went on original review from google. It looks like the original 'Circle of Blood' main page is deleted. The same problem as with the Broken Sword 2 - I don't know if the director's cut releases should be connected with the original ones & if they should, would you be able to add 2 PC releases (the old & new dc one) then? What is more, the 'all platforms' page is titled 'Circle of Blood', but only the first PC version was titled like that, so it should be corrected also. If it wouldn't be enough, the link of the all ports page has 'director's cut' in the name & link to PC port leads to another sub-page with the new dc versions for PC/MAC/Iphone only. But, clicking again on the 'All platforms' link from there place you back on main page (with CoB name). Nice:roll:

What I'm sure: PC's 'Circle of Blood', PSX, GBA & mobile should be connected together. Same goes to the Director's cut versions on DS, Wii, PC, MAC & Iphone. It would be the best solution IMO.

The last thing. How much different is Broken Sword: DC from BS: DC HD, both on Iphone?

http://www.gamespot.com/broken-sword-directors-cut/platform/iphone/

http://www.gamespot.com/broken-sword-directors-cut-hd/

OK, that's all for now.

Title: Offspring Fling
Platform: Mac, PC
Publisher/Developer: Retro Affect / Kyle Pulver
Genre: Puzzle (probably)
Release date: 30th. March, 2012
Release type: Digital
Site: Kyle Pulver's site for this game. (Warning: Massive memory overhead needed. Dude plastered just about everything on the game into a single page.)

Boxshot: None, as far as I know. It's digital. You can try using Alec Holowka's album cover for the Original Soundtrack of the game.

There are some images on that site, but they aren't loaded in the usual way that makes extraction easy.

Yes, that is what it looks like: a cuddly mother creature hurling her cuddlier infant. For a good reason of course. :P

Hi, again. Here are some more Mac games. Note that the titles of the first two are not quite the same as those of their PC counterparts. I think the publisher just makes up the name as they type it in their Mac App Store developer account. They don't even punctuate between the title and subtitle.

Wow...lol Just so you know the way the system is set up now if the names are even slightly different it will not let me make them part of the same family so it will appear all alone sadly.

Alright time to get to work then get to bed!

Edit: I think I know why they did it with the first one. When I created it the system matched it up to the ios game. They probably want itunes to have the same titles. Same with title number 2!

Note that Mark of the Ninja is NOT coming to PC, at least that's what Klei Entertainment told me when I spoke with them at their booth. It's coming to Xbox Live Arcade. Hugely disappointed, as the game was incredibly fun, like the original Ninja Gaiden, but with updated graphics, a stealth component, and a puzzle element.

Happy gaming,

Boz

Well, it's definitely coming on XBox Live Arcade, but I don't have a link to anything saying no PC version, only what the developer told me at the show. I shot them a tweet to find out, and will let you know when I have something in "writing." Also, another game I was unable to locate on Gamespot:

Well so we don;t step on each others toes I will leave that for GF to correct. Next time you can just get me the info if it is easier and I can correct for both sites at one time.

Not to be picky, but since there's the gamecube release of the same game as well, shouldn't the url be something like

http://www.gamespot.com/rally-championship/platform/ps2/

and

http://www.gamespot.com/rally-championship/platform/gamecube/

respectively, under the same "page"?

Cheers.

Yes but the only way to fix that is change the game id in order to make both have the same url name. I don't have permission to do that as it use to break things on the site. Kinda like changing a username.
