Changed my avatar and nothing happens

So like the title says I changed my avatar, on the edit profile it shows the one I uploaded along with the small image at the top right of the site and on the forums, but every time I comment any article, only the same old GS generic avatar shows.

Can anyone help me with this?

If it's just the comments section that has the old avatar then that's a livefyre related issue - presumably livefyre failed to update your avatar when you updated it on GS. I'm not sure if the mechanism is broken or just slow, but unfortunately there's not much we can do until whatever is causing said bug is fixed. Even after it is fixed it may require that you change the GS avatar again in order to force an update on livefyre.
