avatars and signatures and default problem

The former sticky thread about site problems last May might still have cache bugs happening so please report your problems about old content from days or weeks ago getting restored in this thread.

Symptoms that staff need to investigate includes:

- Avatar is changed to one I had weeks ago (not related to the ghost bug that pulls the old sized avatars from 3+ years ago)
- Signature is changed to one I had weeks ago
- Profile settings such as changing it to private for a couple of days and then returning to public will change back to private settings infrequently
- Avatar gets reset to a default one or the default skin happens (when setting is set to dark theme)

Am I missing any other related problems for avatars and signatures, or profile caching problems?

For the second time, my avatar/sig got erased. The first was a few months ago. I was never modded so that's not it.

EDIT: Mine's back for now. I went to options to where we normally change our sings. I saw my sig there, so I hit apply changes or whatever and it came back. :D

I cant change my avatar back to one that fits. It just keeps uploading the latest URL I tryed and it wont go back :x

Is there any reason I can't delete my avatar/pic? It just keeps randomly coming back from the dead, sometimes the G logo shows, sometimes the actual pic I had up before I tried to delete it does...

Nothing I just kept trying it. Also like Dracula68 said its better to use an image hosting site. I use Imageshack. You dont even have to register. Just upload what you want and grab the url.

Thats what I meant by "URL" in my previous post. The hosted image url not a website url....sorry if I confused you :wink:

Hey guys, I've a problem with my signature and the same is here in the forum message box.

If I want to make paragraphs in the message, it makes big spaces after paragraphs.

The space of ONE paragraph are such as you can see my paragraphs in this post. And it's the same with the Signature!

I tried to copy some phrases and pasted it in the signature. It worked only for the time I pasted it without doing big spaces after paragraphs, but it does big spaces after paragraphs anyway if I continue.

How can I solve that it doesn't make this big spaces after paragraphs anymore? Or is that just a normal act?

I hope you understand me, sorry for my bad english, 'still learing it^^'

I changed my avatar and sig yesterday, however when I post it stills shows the old ones.

When I check options both have been updated and the avatar next to the inbox and updates shows the new one.

My avatar and banner wouldn't get replaced my another of same file type but gets replaced by other file types. is this a bug or something

My Signiture refuses to update/save, every time I try and change it it'll revert back to how it was straight away.

avater is displaying as a jpeg sign yet for months its been fine

Yes my avatar on my profile (and on some of my friends profiles) have changed back to default, but in other places it works fine...
