Need help please

I had 2 enigma databases left and they were in the sewers under the GCPD. They were past the part were you have to ride the lift down. Going back the lift was up top and I can't seem to figure out how to get it back down. They're is nothing to grapple on to and the remote batarang doesn't travel far enough to hit the button. Am I screwed or is there away back up to the exit?
