The Fortress of Fear should be renamed something like... Super Happy Fun Night's Day Out. It's hardly scary, and the game tune sounds like something from a fun fair. The gameplay is awful. You fight some strange enemies, my favourite is the jumping cloud fish. To replenish life you eat a ham. Next time you see a dying person, give them a ham and they should perk up nicely.

Graphics- 4/10- The guy on the cover reminds me of Simon Belmont. In the game he looks like a coneheaded night. The game has very basic graphics.

Gameplay- 3/10 awful and repetitive. It's the same every level.

Sound-6/10- Although the tune is annoying, it's very catchy. The sound effects are awful.

Value- 2/10- You'll have switched it off after about 1 hour or less.

In a nutshell- Just don't buy it. It's dire.
