Reclaim 12 territories in Qix fashion in this fun little action puzzler.

This little arcade puzzler plays like any other Qix-type game in that you cut away sections of the screen to score points. The entire purpose of this game is to reclaim twelve territories (stages) by cutting away the designated fortresses. While doing this, there are a variety of baddies that will attempt to hinder your progress. All of these baddies are defeated by encircling them and cutting them out. Each level gets progressively difficult and the terrain of the level has an effect on your movement speed, which is an aspect I really liked. Walls also provide an obstacle forcing players to cut around them. The game features randomly spawned power-ups along with catapults that can be used to take out turrets when encircling their tokens. The catapult tokens are always in the same spot, though.

It's pretty straight-forward and an easy pick-up-and-play game. It requires some level of patience and skill to avoid stupid, needless deaths which can be frustrating, but overall it's a fun little game. The twelve levels don't pose much in the way of playtime, but the hard and impossible game modes should squeak in some more aside from trying to improve scores. Also, despite the layout of a stage being the same, the random power-ups and the way the baddies move about, it does provide some variance of play.

The graphics are nice on a PSP, but a bit blurry and blocky on the PS3. The animations are smooth and it has decent background music.

Players who like Qix-styled games, action puzzlers, or something fun to play for a few hours should check this game out.
