The best game out there at the moment for Formula 1 fans!
Graphics are really quite good, the tracks are quite accurate and rendered very smoothly. There is also pretty realistic damage and weather when played in harder modes which gives the game the edge (nothing quite like thundering around Silverstone in heavy rain).
Gameplay wise the arcade mode is great for just jumping in and getting a few laps in on your favourite track, or to get to grips with a track yourself just before the next Grand Prix.
For those more die-hard fans, the games career mode is really quite in-depth. It includes career progression through recruitment test sessions which you have to pass to be offered a place on a team. Once you've got yourself a drive on a team then you've got to go through the course of the entire racing weekend for each venue. Testing sessions, car set up, qualifying and finally the race day.
Once you've one a few races and you feel yourself ready to move beyond the games AI drivers and race against other humans, the network play allows you to create your own race between friends or jump into one of the open games you'll find when you log-in. The network games are a little tricky to get used to at first and much more arcade in style. You'll also need a pretty good connection to keep up to speed in the game.
Another nice little touch in the game is the trophy room, where you can go and view all the silverware you've totted up during the course of your career. You can also view all the special edition cars you've unlocked throughout the game for various achievements.
