Possibly a reason why divorces are so common.

Year after year, this game improves, and this one is no exception. Once again it provides highly realistic and detailed management. And with new additions such as the backroom advice feature, it makes this game feel even closer to being a real life manager. Difficulty wise, it's just right. You don't get a sense of AI bias, which is good.

There's a huge variety of countries/leagues available to play. You're spoilt for choice. For newbies to the game, the new "create a tactic" tool is a simple, fast way for developing a new tactic. There's now more options, such as choosing which strategy to start with and choosing which kind of philosophy you want your team to play with. I.E, A more hardworking team with limited ability, or a more creative team with a quick passing style.

The new addition of "player roles" has given you the option to be more precise about how you want your players to play. For instance, using a tall striker as a "target man", or a strong midfielder as a "ball winning midfielder." The attributes required for each role are highlighted, but it's up to you to choose the right style for each player.

Touchline instructions, also a new addition, are useful and give another realistic approach. With plenty of options, you can change your style of play with the click of a button, and they can be the difference between winning and losing, so use them wisely.

The 3D match system is okay, not great, but it does a good job. You may notice a few glitches here and there, but nothing major. And they can be improved by patches anyway. Sound is improved, it gives a nice feel to the game, but it's not mind blowing either.

The new interface is smooth. May take a little bit of getting used to, but it won't take long. Training hasn't change, it's simple and easy. Scouting is also simple, and can be exciting finding potential star players. Sometimes the transfer system may seem a little unrealistic, where teams who are reluctant to sell can ask for ridiculous prices, which can be slightly frustrating.

Overall, this game is the best of the series and has a very realistic feeling to it. Like real football, strange results, aggravating injuries and rebelling players are all part of the game, but it makes it all the more challenging and exciting. I highly recommend this game to anyone interested in playing a football management game.
