Sucks you in very quickly but much can still be improved on.

User Rating: 7.5 | Flyff PC
Flyff, better known as Fly For Fun or Fly F F (only idiots would us this when the actual title is subtitled), is created by a korean company called Aeonsoft. Yes, a huge competitor i would assume to Nexon, Ijji and some other popular MMO creators. Anyway, this game is pretty much the game you would play if you disliked maplestory for it's 2d graphics and its lack of a TRUE expansive environment. Going from one portal to the next isn't considered expansive by any means. Yes, I'm talk to the maplestory fans. PLUS you can FLY!

I really liked the gameplay in this game but it was awkward at first. To train a skill you must do it repeatedly. So yes, it means you have to do the move enough times to get the move to the max level 20. I have seen people hotkey the move and then, proceed to using a weight to train this move. Due to some system updates, its more like MAPLESTORY. Yes, it always goes back to that game doesn't it. Now, you just have a spread of Ability points which you can use to level up your moves. How convenient. There are 4 different classes Assist, Magician, Warrior and Acrobat. Yes, the assist class and the acrobat class sounds way off for many reasons. Now, you start off as a vagrant and you work your way to the job of your choice. The points you choose in the vagrant class don't even matter because they are reset afterward. I think this game lacked a good help guide as to how to distribute points. I was confused as to what i wanted so i chose an Assist.

Now, one selling point in this game was flying. I tried it at out at level 20. Yes, the game doesn't allow you to fly until you're level 20 =(. Anyway, i expected the ability to work as advertised and it works very well. No problems there. The only weird thing is that you can purchase G potatoes (Yes potatoes). This is the equivalent to the nxcash in any nexon game and others. You can buy luxury items such as a carriage and flying carpet. Stuff like that.

The monsters in this game are pretty standard, much like runescape. You have an aggressive monster, marked by red, which attacks automatically if you're nearby. Each monster actually has 3 classes. The low end monster, the standard monster, the captain version. Oops, i forgot, there's also a boss version of each monster. Yes, they will hand their ass to you if you're not careful. So i suggest partying with someone.

That brings me to a problem with this game. It's a strong point but also a weak point. You need a party to level fast. Let me explain. The advanced party system allows the creator to use advanced tactics to rally your party members. Essentially you also are able to gain much more exp when others are around are in your party. Later when you hit level 67 for example, you become very dependent on such a system. Unless you have 10 friends whom you play with constantly, you might find problems leveling too. There is no way to avoid this unless you're super patient. And even if you decided to take on higher level monsters, you run the risk of dying often.

The music in the game is actually 10/10 worthy. I got really hyped up when i fight monsters. Not all battle music is similar. The chatting system might be confusing at first but you will get used to it. The environment isn't stunning but is very expansive for a free mmorpg like Flyff.

In conclusion, I gave this game a 7.5/10 because the game has all the goods to offer but needs to improve on it. Leveling is a huge grind, more often than other notable games. Unless you have your party, it won't be hard. They should add more monsters and add more quests into this game. This game has much to offer and should improve on it.
