I'm one stage away from finishing Legend mode, and then I'll start screwing around in Dream mode and online.

Are you having an easy/hard time finding people to play with online? Also, if one person drops out, does it screw up the whole stage as in progression lost? Is there much/any lag?

GT: MrJisatsu if anyone needs someone to multiplayer with.

    1. Since its a niche title, don't expect much of only besides boosting and/or having friends to help you out.

    2. I think that's the point of most certain multiplayer games, so yes. Also, the online is lagless, of course, other players you'll see have "lag spikes", but its perfectly normal, since they pop out attacking from thin air, but actually hitting then enemies.

    How is the online?

Half-baked, deserted, redundant and a waste of development time.

On the bright side: they could legally festoon "Now with online play!! " on the box to move a few more copies with unsuspecting saps who see the game at the bottom of the bargain bin.

I only play online with friends, so I don't have trouble finding someone to play with. The online co-op (if you have someone to play with, anyway) is about the same as it usually is in these Warriors games - there isn't much sync between your game and the person you're playing with so the two of you often end up fighting the same enemy in different spots on the map. Although I think this one might try a bit more than past games, as a boss type enemy may go into a block pose when your partner is attacking them elsewhere and at least once I've had a boss teleport from in front of me to the other character just to be involved with a throw animation.

The main issue I have with the online co-op is that the way it's set up you basically have to play through all but the challenge maps in single player to unlock them for co-op play. And in order to make personal progress through the challenge maps you have to be the one hosting. Which means it's really only good for scroll and XP harvesting, and all things considered I'm largely saving that excursion for after I've done a once through of all the stages (and Legend Mode).

Also, for what's its worth, the online Team Match is one-sided to begin with anyways, you can't even beat up other team players, its more like a party game with "missions" instead.

I'd be laughing my peachy-firm ass off if it wasn't that a versus mode was likely overlooked for online functionality... >_>

The jankiest co-op is more likely to get used by me than the best versus mode anyway. Mind you, despite its issues this isn't the worst co-op I've ever dealt with - in the Warriors series or otherwise.

^ If we've stooped to 'the worst' comparisons, it's safe to safe Koei screwed us.

I can do "not the worst" comparisons with almost any game (exceptions being games that are "the worst". And I would tend to go that direction rather than making bold claims of "the best" simply because it's a more moderate stance. But in my opinion this game offers one of the best online co-op experiences I've had in a Koei game. And putting aside the online I'd have to say this is one of the better Koei games I've played on the 360 - beating out DW6, Strikeforce, the Gundam series, Legends of Troy, and by a small margin (if it had the meridian charts rather than this scroll system, the margin would be larger) the first FotNS game.
