First let me get this out of the way. This is NOT a game. This is a real time simulation. Now it does require some time and effort to build your fish business but it can happen. First you can't be in a hurry because you will not have money rolling when you start out in the game, BUT if you look at the species and how much you can charge for them it goes a long way in helping you breed fish that you can make money on. The game does evolve in real time but when you shut your DS off all you have to do is choose the "stop time" option and when you return you can pick up right where you left off without the worry of having any fish becoming ill or worse, being dead.
There are alot of things to buy for your tanks but you will have to work for them because they do cost alot of money. When you finally do save up enough money for that special item for your tank it is very fufilling and makes you feel like it was truly earned. If you are looking for a "sim" for your DS then look no further than Fish Tycoon but of you think this is all fun and games you might want to look else where. Overall the game offers fun, enjoyment of earning items for your fish tanks, and money to grow your business. The graphics are above par and the sounds of the tanks sound so real you think your DS had water in it. I have enjoyed this game since purchasing it but its not for everyone.
