Complicated to no end, but that is what makes The Sacred Stones the GBA game of the year.

User Rating: 9.5 | Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones GBA
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones is the most recent FE game to be created for the Gameboy Advance, and they couldn't have made it any better.

You are in control of the princess of Renais, Eirika, and your fort has been attacked by neighbouring country, Grado. Grado's motivations are unknown, as the two countries have been allies since the world of darkness was sealed away by the Sacred Stones, each one being protected by a different country.

Eirika is taken from the castle before she is spotted by King Fado's trusty Paladin, Seth, who is injured trying to help Eirika escape.

As you venture further into this long and winding game, you will re-encounter some enemies that you might remember from any of the previous Fire Emblem games.

You will soon after the beginning run into Eirika's brother and the rightful King of Renais, Emphraim, and the two siblings decide to travel off and warn other countries about the looming threat of complete annihilation by the Grado empire.

The classes become much more diverse in this, as the fighter class can evolve and develop into either a Pirate class or the original Warrior class. The vast script within the story is very immersive, deep and even at some point's tough to understand, with script sometimes being unloaded on you pages at a time.

Nonetheless, Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones is the best of the Fire Emblem games to this point, and will be a massive challenge to outplay, with gameplay possibilities being close to endless, it will grow on you slowly, and keep you entertained for a long time.
