Favorite in the series

User Rating: 9.5 | Fire Emblem: Kakusei 3DS
I love the Fire Emblem series and the turn based strategy game genre. After playing every game that was released in the USA, I was happy that the game was announced and finally given a release date. The one thing that made the game lose .5 was the crap where most retailers weren't going to get a copy in until the 8th. I canceled my pre-order and bought it online the eshop day one. The game was well worth the wait and I have become addicted to this game in particular.

Story 10
You get to create your own avatar in this game making your character a main character with their own strengths and weaknesses as well as Prince Krom (the lord of this game). The game follows down the usual good fire emblem story path where there are many wars and battles to be fought, but behind it all is one big problem that threatens the balance of the world. Krom and the Avatar must fight against this evil and work against time to preserve their world and its future.

Characters and Support 10
The characters are what make the Fire Emblem series so good. Each character is given a certain class, personality, and support with other characters. In other Fire Emblems the support was only a stat booster and didn't really mean anything until the end of the game. In this one your characters will eventually get married and have kids which will eventually help later on in the game. It is also good that Reeking boxes were added into the game so you can make pretty much every unit in the game worth using in your army.

Reclassing 10
Reclassing in this game is a lot of fun and it makes characters that may not seem useful at all, but have the type of personality and character that you like then reclassing can make any character in the game worth using. You can make character that are mage into fighters and myrmidons into knights. This allows you to gain other bonuses that are given to other classes as they level up.

Levels 10
The Levels of the game are well thought out and can be replayed with the reeking box (not story wise though) against risen to farm with your characters, grind exp, get items, money, and grind supports.

Multiplayer Don't care
Fire Emblem to me was never about any multiplayer features that nintendo added in. It was all about the single player so I avoid this topic.

Graphics 9.5
I love the graphics of the game they really are good for a game on the 3ds and fire emblem that is. The only issue is that the character's feet are pretty much stubs which really doesn't bother me. It just seems weird to see all the characters walk around on stubs.

Overall 9.5
The game is fun and well worth jumping into. If you are new to the series you can play on casual and not lose your units. If your a harcore fan you can play on classic and when your character dies they are gone for good.
