User Rating: 9.5 | Final Fight Tough SNES
The Final Fight series is one of the best old school side scrolling beat em up games hands down, FF 3 was a blast to play back in '96, today in 2010 it has lost none of its charm, this title has aged perfectly, it may not have 720p graphics or whatever, who cares!! the gameplay is as tight as ever, the AI always challenging without feeling frustrating, I played it in any difficulty, from easy to expert, yes, you will have those moments where you would swear you where out of the way but you still got hit or thrown, but this are minimal and far in between.

The story line is the usual, metro city is in distress, thugs running crazy every which way, cops to busy eating donuts, and it's up to you to clean things up with your fist, in metro city cats don't believe in packing heat, so go ahead and punch & kick your way through the slums until you bring the head of this crazy ass mob down, in a beat em up story is really not that important, even though FF 3 tries real hard to make some sense of what's happening and why the characters are involved, for example Dean having had is family whacked by this thugs, and it does a good job.

It even has multiple paths, for example you can go through a door and fight the boss of that level in a different location than you normally would if you went straight, that adds to re-playability, this days it's pretty common but back in the days something like that was ill, the only down turn to this game for me, is the fact that when you play with someone you can hurt each other even by accident, I know it makes it more realistic but come on, its a side scrolling game on one plane, off course if I throw some one around, the motherlover gonna get you, and if you play co op with the cpu, player 2 is always gonna get stuck in the middle of you and the guy you're trying to pummel, but over than that, this game is still a classic that I recommend even if you're not a fan of fighting or beat em up games just for its easy to pick up gameplay and good feeling to it.

Definitely the best title you can find on the Wii shop right now, just make sure you pick up a classic controller because it's required to play, but get it from me, it'll be worth it, best 800 points you gonna spend.
