A basic RPG without cutscenes or a real sense of direction but still with a lot of fun aspects...

Final Fantasy Anniversary Edition for psp is not top of my list for RPG fans. Final Fantasy had no cutscenes, no real storyline and basically was meant for you to fumble around until you eventually find where you are supposed to go. First, with the storyline, basically you are the Warriors of Light and you need to reactivate stones across the world and fix all the bad things that have happened...but unless you talk to every last person you won't find any of that out. Final Fantasy doesn't even give hints as to where you need to go next. So once you have finished the first area you pretty much wander around until you find another area to go to. Without a walkthrough you could spend hundreds of hours just figuring out where you need to go. Now, one thing I found that was really good about this game was the dungeons. Although they all look very similar, the dungeons have many different enemies and some even have some unexpected differences. The dungeons are all intricate and maze-like and can be very frustrating at times. Graphics on the other hand, could have been better, since the psp can handle decent graphics. But I felt Final Fantasy was a bit jipped on the graphics. I think it is worth spending about 15 bucks on, but I wouldn't spend more than that. And it is definitely a game more for hardcore Final Fantasy fans.
