Check out this interview from E3 2010 with a special announcement about the special edition.
This game does not stands chance against Guild Wars 2, TERA and SWTOR basicly this game only will attract FF funs.
Why are landscapes in Japanese games always so sterile while the characters are rich in detail and animation?
@white_devil: they're not using playonline anymore, so no worries @xelauyu: yes, this will be on PS3 as well. Regardless of what platform you play on, you'll be required to pay a subscription fee. They recently announced that it will be $13 per month.
so this is gonna be on ps3? if so do i have to pay monthly for this games online or anything like that? plz tell me :)
Played 11 ... it was ******* good ... but if you wanted to take a break for 3 month and cancel your subscription ... you had to buy a new cd or a new key to activate your account thats like 20 bucks so ... i hope they fix that ... i hope playonline would stop being a f** and start to do something about that matter. If you cant stop paying for a month and come back after when you can actually have time to play the game ... Then it dosent worth my time .
Yes PS3 and PC will be compatible and they will have all realms integrated between the two. Also it will be coming out on PC next month on the 30th but not on PS3 until March I believe...
Anyone know if PC users can play with PS3 users like FF11??? Me and my gf have two 360's but not PS3's...not yet at least.
@BoxOfPocky Is no more lvl is Skill points :) how long you use your weapon in that way you develop Skills :)
are you guys retarded? its a translator speaking, not him -_- (except when he's talking about the limited edition)
FF14 online is only on PS3, and PC. Square Enix has stated that XBL wont allow this type of game on the Xbox360 and Microsoft after much hard working trying to find ways to make it work would not allow them to open the XBL system up enough for an MMO like this. Meaning: Xbox360s online system dose have limits, MMOs don't work well on it.
@iilsSueZ The Special Edition has the game, a Security Token (Authenticator Key), and a behind-the-scenes DVD. You'll also get a couple of days of early access to the game, as well as an in-game item--a helmet, I believe.
This is unreal that square is releasing two final fantasy games within 6 months of each other. That must be a new record. Regardless, now I'm going to have to decide what I'm going to spend my monthly mmo fee on. Maybe I'll play this and then pick up SWTOR when it comes out. The decisions!!! AND WHAT ABOUT VERSUS!?!?
I just hope it's more solo friendly than FFXI. Party is fun and all, but sometimes, I just wanna level alone, lol. I have high hopes for this one, so don't disappoint me!! xD
as long as they don't screw me out of my money by charging me for 2 accounts for 6 months when i had 1 account i'd love to play this. i loved XI and i can't wait to try this out. Collectors edition here i come.
Cant wait until this game is released! Alot of people complain about the time it takes to gain levels but this game is for hardcore gamers. WoW is there for the folks that want to become high levels in days. I played FFXI then i played WoW, if you played the games in this order you'll master wow in under 6 months. If you play WoW first though, you wont even want to play FF because it'll be out of your league. This game is for true fans that want a true journey. It takes alot of hardwork but its well worth it and you'll feel alot more rewarded than if you were playing WoW.
As long as i can play and stop for a month and then play again without having to pay for an OTHER Cd to continue im on ... Unless they fix that i wont ...
well i haven't played ffXI, but i am definitely looking forward to this one! an mmorpg on ps3? yeah! finally, something to pull me from the Borderlands lol
big fan of FF games on playstation... haven't played FF11, but since internet access is that much easier i will not miss out on FF14. ^_^
XI was painfully slow paced, hopefully this one is faster. I liked 11 but man, grinding was a job and a half in that game.
ive never played a final fantasy game before, they seemed a little....uh....weird with the girly hair and emotional crap, but i like mmos. idk
I preordered my copy a few days ago -- call me optimistic, but I'm really excited for this one. If you look around the internet, you'll find a video comparing the alpha and beta versions of the game showing how seriously they took the comments and grievances of people who played the alpha build. It's refreshing and admirable to me that they're going to this much effort to admit the game's faults and fix them. The only concern I have is whether it will actually control well using a mouse and keyboard -- I wasn't a fan of XI's PC-unfriendly controls.
Looks like it will be more of the same youll only get 1 free toon slot an youll have to pay for more ,Hope it not a grind fest like 11 was an improved U.I would be good.
