Horrible launch, worth a second look after patches
It is still pretty bad, I will say, but don't count it out entirely. It has fixed many issues addressed in the official GS review, and another patch is on the way later this month. Basically, by the time this game launches on PS3, hopefully it will be a solid game, but that remains to be seen.
I will say this game has an awesome class system, but that's about it right now that sets it apart from other MMOs. Think FFVII where you could totally customize a character with materia builds - as opposed to FFXI or WoW's pick a class system.
I am currently playing Cataclysm and I switch over to FFXIV when I'm burnt out of leveling in WoW since I still have my free month. I do agree the 4.0 review was fair, generous even back in September but I really wish they would update it since MMOs are constantly changing.
